This permit is for Broadband internet service provider lines being installed along District right of ways. Fees are established by the Districts User Fees By-Law per the telecommunication ROP fees and are determined by distances <30km vs >30km. Payment is required prior to approval. Applicants are required to attach a "release of liability" form to the permit following completion of work. Applications <30km must be submitted at least 10 days before installation Applications >30 km must be submitted at least 15 days before installation.

Inclusion of a Traffic Control Plan (TCP) prepared by a qualified person (QP). A QP is considered to be anyone who is trained and competent in complying with the requirements of Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 as developed by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario. A TCP includes signage and traffic notification requirements to ensure public safety during any event for road closure or usage (similar to construction work). A QP often includes staff from either a transportation consultant, roads contractor or traffic control service provider.
Applicants are required to include a supporting memo from the QP indicating that they have prepared their TCP in compliance with MTO Book 7 as part of their application.(OTM)
