Please read carefully:

Do not use this permit if you are applying for a property severance through the area municipality and are only requesting a pre-consultation from the District regarding your new entrance. Please apply for a Pre-consultation permit first. Once the severance is approved, you may apply for an entrance permit using this application.

Property owners or their representatives must apply to the District for an entrance Permit when:

  • A temporary access is required
  • An entrance is desired to a vacant property where no entrance exists
  • A new building is to be constructed on vacant land
  • A property owner is requesting a change to an existing entrance
  • Required for all new entrances or alternations to existing entrances
  • New entrances must be identified by staking the desired location

Please review the Access policy , By-Law 87-50 , and Conditions associated with this permit carefully prior to submitting your application.

Road Entrance Permit - District of Muskoka Details

Include civic address (P.I.N), lot ID, concession ID, registered plan, part number(s), assessment roll number.

I have confirmed, or retained a professional to confirm, that any drainage infrastructure (including culverts, subdrains, etc.) and/or lot grading to be completed as part of the proposed access onto the District roadway will not impact the roadway platform (including road shoulders). I understand that by confirming above that I have sufficient knowledge to make the above assertion and, by checking the box I accept responsibility and liability for any erosion, flooding impacts or other damage which may occur due to the installation of the drainage infrastructure and/or grading. I agree to reimburse the District, Area Municipality and/or Third Parties for any damage associated with these occurrences and/or to properly design and construct drainage infrastructure, rectifying the issue.
